Baltimore Orioles' All-star Relief Pitcher Zach Britton has been traded to the New York Yankees, according to Jon Heyman. It is believed that right-handed pitcher Dillon Tate, the Yanks' 9th top rated prospect and 4th overall pick in 2015, will be sent to the Orioles. Minor league pitchers Cody Carroll and Josh Rogers will also be traded to Baltimore. Britton has been hurt most of the year, and currently holds a 3.45 ERA with 4 saves. He just 2 years removed from a dominant 2016 season which he recorded 47 saves and a whopping 0.54 ERA. He will be joining a bullpen with names such as Aroldis Chapman and Dellin Betances, and is a great addition to a Yankees team that is a couple games behind the Red Sox in the AL East race. Baltimore, on the other hand, holds the worst record in the league and is beginning a rebuild. They have traded Manny Machado and Britton in the span of a week, and it wouldn't be a shock to see veterans such as Dylan Bundy, Adam Jones and Kevin Gausman traded as the trade deadline approaches.
