Two of rap's biggest names came out with a couple of surprises for their fans this evening, as Tyler, the Creator and A$AP Rocky have announced that they have a collaboration project on the way. It is titled WANG$AP, a play on both of their names, and it is speculated to drop on October 3rd, per Rocky's Instagram. They also put out a preview of what's to come, a single called Potato Salad. These two have both recently come out with albums with high praise, with Tyler dropping Flower Boy a little over a year ago, which is highly regarded as his best album, and Rocky dropped TESTING in May, with hits like Praise The Lord and Purity coming from it. These two have worked together in the past on songs like Telephone Calls and Who Dat Boy and after hearing this song, this sounds like it could be a hit as well. Tyler and Rocky trade bars over a smooth beat, showing off their lyricism and their flow. They both are also great friends in real life, as they went on tour together a couple of years ago and often take jabs at each other through social media. This is a project with high expectations for me, as both Flower Boy and Testing both sounded great, and these two have a knack for making hits together. We will have to wait and see what's in store, but this has potential to be one of the best collab albums of 2018. Check out Potato Salad below.
